How far we've come . . .

With Haley's first show AND first group trail ride under our belts I was just thinking about how far we've come. In a little over a year this horse has gone from a skinny, mistrustful broodmare to a dappled and shiny show horse (OK - almost)!




They say a picture is worth a thousand words . . . this is Haley about a month after being seized in February of 2009.




And this is her May 2010 at her first horse show, with my best friend. Even more remarkable are the changes you can't see, the way that has learned (and keeps learning) to trust people and come out of her shell. Haley has come a long way!
